Actor-Comedian Gilbert Gottfried

Arts & Theater Nasal-voiced comic Gilbert Gottfried made his name in the '80s with a season on Saturday Night Live and crazy promos for the then-new MTV. His big film break came with Beverly Hills Cop II, where his improvised scene as business manager Sidney Bernstein stole the show. Gottfried's appeared in dozens of movies since and, in recent years, has become one of the nation's top voice-over talents. He played the wise-cracking parrot Iago in Disney's Aladdin and for more than a decade was the voice of the Aflac duck. His raunchier humor can be seen in the film The Aristocrats, in his appearances on The Howard Stern Show and in his book Rubber Balls and Liquor. Despite his widespread success, Gottfried has never given up stand-up comedy. Catch his show -- famously politically incorrect, featuring a full-frontal assault of no-holds-barred jokes -- at New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
